The Hindu Young World quiz has been in the hot focus for the past 17 years. On 20th February the 17th edition of young world quiz was conducted in Visakhapatnam in which 300 teams participated from 60 schools throughout Andhra Pradesh. The participants were quizzed on a range of events with the main focus in the current events and burning issues.
In 17th edition our Sri Prakashites showed their roaring talents and stood Fist. The winners were given camel stationery items, BSASLR cycles along with mementos and certificates.
Students of Class X Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Tuni had a session on study skills by Mr.Siva Narayana, Manager, Public Relations, Sri Prakash College of Engineering, Rajupeta. On 31st December, 2016. The main intention of the program was to make the children be aware of their remembering potential and its utilization to the best effect.
He gave a number of tips to recollect and remember the content of their subjects by interlinking different concepts. He also emphasized on time management and focusing on their subjects. The session was very lively with Mr.Narayana and Students having a good discussion. Finally he concluded that every one has potential, and the only thing is to realize it.

The 24th National Children’s Science Congress – 2016 organized by APCOST in association with department of school education and SCERT Govt. A.P., was held on 30th December At M.S.G High School, Jagannayakpoor, Kakinada.
The focal theme given was Science, Technology and Innovation for sustainable development. SPVN, TUNI made 6 teams with 5 students and 1 guide teacher each to participate with their projects in different sub teams. After A thorough preparation following the 5 steps: 1. Identifying the problem, 2. Data Collection, 3. Research, 4. Analysis, 5. Suggesting solution, the teams participated with lots of enthusiasm. All the 6 teams got consolation prizes and were presented with certificates and mementos.
