Pulaparthi Deekshita Siri, student of Sriprakash Vidya Niketan, Annavaram glittered with a ‘SHINING STAR’ Award. International Talent Hunt is an online test to be attended by the participants from their homes on a scheduled date. Pulaparthi Deekshitha Siri was learning ABACUS from May-2023 and appeared the competition twice. We are very proud to announce that She achieved the ‘SHINING STAR’ Award in International Talent Hunt organized by Aristo kids under ‘JUNOIR LEVEL-0’ CATEGORY. It is delighted that she has solved 80 sums in 7Mins without ABACUS through Visualization technique and attained 95% score which led her to achieve the trophy.

విజ్ఞాన దేవతగా, వివేక ధాత్రిగా బ్రహ్మనాలుకపై నర్తించే చదువులతల్లి సరస్వతీదేవి. ఈమె హిందూ పురాణాలు ప్రకారం మాఘమాసం శుక్లపక్షం ఐదో తిధిన వసంత పంచమి నాడు జన్మించింది. కావున ఈరోజును సరస్వతీ దేవి పుట్టిన రోజుగా, వసంత పంచమిగా మనం జరుపుకుంటున్నాము. మన దేశంలో ఎన్నో ప్రాంతాలు సరస్వతీదేవిని ముగురమ్మల మూల రూపాలతో కొలుస్తారు. మన ఉమ్మడి ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లోని ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లా బాసరలో ఈమెను జ్ఞానసరస్వతీదేవిగా కొలుస్తారు. వివిధ ప్రాంతాల నుండి ఎందరో తమ తమ పిల్లలకు తొలి బీజాక్షరాలు దిద్దించుటకు నలుదిక్కుల నుంచి వస్తారు. ఈ రోజు శ్రీప్రకాష్ విద్యానికేతన్ లో చిట్టి పొట్టి చిన్నారుల నడుమ ఈ పండుగను ఎంతో ఘనంగా జరపడం జరిగింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా విద్యార్ధులు పండితులకు మాత్రమే సాధ్యమయ్యే శ్లోకాలను విద్యార్ధులు మృధు మధురగానంతో ఆలపించారు. అదే విధంగా సరస్వతీ దేవి గొప్పతనాన్ని గురించి ఉపాధ్యాయులు విద్యార్ధులకు వివరించారు. పుస్తకాలు, పెన్సిల్స్ పంచడం జరిగింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా పాఠశాల ప్రధానోపాధ్యాయులు డి.యల్.పి. రాజు గారు విద్యార్ధులను ఉద్దేశించి చక్కని సందేశాన్ని ఇచ్చి ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ముగించడం జరిగింది.

‘Makar Sankranti’- a gaiety festival we celebrate as the harvest season begins. The supremacy of culture and tradition is grandly celebrated and observed by Sri Prakash's fraternity, students, and their families. Our students have gladly enjoyed organizing the displays of our cultural practices like Bhogi mantalu (bonfire), Bommala Koluvu and Bhogi-pallu as a reflection of festive spirits and unity. They have also graced and ornamented the ambience of our school with colourful Muggulu (Rangolis), kites, flowers, sugarcane, paddy spikes, mango, banana and coconut leaves, Gobbemmalu and Gobbillu. To show gratitude and appreciation towards our Gods of nature (Sun, rain) cows, and farmers, children have marvellously portrayed the roles of Haridas, Gangireddu Jangama Dora, Sodemma, Rytanna (farmer) Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Godadevi. To bring awareness about the significance and benefits of our healthy traditional food, students have exhibited the festive delicacies in various vintage and ethnic utensils, bowls and equipment. Guests are invited and welcomed in an exceptional and auspicious manner by our students. They have cheerfully offered guests our traditional sweets, desserts, and many scrumptious food items. The celebrations of Bhogi, Sankranti, and Kanuma are celebrated by our students with immense enthusiasm, great collaboration and coordination.

Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of the Jesus Christ. Christmas celebration was held on 23rd December, 2023 in Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Annavaram. Christmas day celebrations started with children decorations like crafting, handcrafted stars, Christmas greeting cards and decorating Christmas tree. Children attended the Merry Christmas day celebration in Angel and Santa Clause costumes.

Revd. K. Yohan (Retired SBI officer) was invited as a preacher to lead the children. They were taught about the Christmas day stories in order to explain the festival's significance. There was carol singing by the students and teachers to make the event more joyful. Revd. K. Yohan, our HM DLP Raju sir addressed the gathering on central figure of the joyful feast of Christmas. 

Christmas never ends without gifts. The program was concluded with the distribution of greeting cards to the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children. It was a joyous and amusing program for everyone.

SriKrishnaJanmastami is an auspicious day when Lord Krishna took birth on our planet Earth. SriKrishna Janmashtami also known simply as 'Krishnashtami', 'Janmastami', 'Gokulastami', As the birth (Janma) of the god Krishna was on the eighth (Astami) day of the dark fortnight of the month Sravana, it was named as Janmashtami.

On Sept 4th, 2023 the students of Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Annavaram celebrated the event triumphantly. The students were traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly flamboyant programme was organised by the children and staff of the school: where students euphoniously sung songs, a magnificent dandiya performance, a stunning performance showing the 10 avataras of Lord V…

In order to cognize the types of soils, students of class 3 looked up nearby fields.They recognized the three types of soils - Sandy soil, Loamy soil, Clayey soil. They stepped their feet into the fields and experienced the texture of soil by touching. 
They learned that sandy soil consists of a small particles of weathered rocks.They discern that sandy soil has very low nutrients and poor water holding capacity and not suitable for plant growth. They also learned that clayey soil has the smallest particles and they could differentiate that it was sticky and smooth when it is touched.They figured out that it also becomes hard for moisture and air to penetrate into it, thereby impeding the growth of plants. Students found that loamy soil is a combination of sand and clayey soil and has the ability to retain moisture and nutrients.  This soil is also referred as agricultural soil. They perceive that desert plants like cactus grow in sandy soil. Rice, potato, cabbage can grow in clayey and cotton, sugarcane, jute and vegetables are well grown in loamy soil. Students differentiated long lasting plants that grow in different types of soils.

On August 15, 2023 the Sri Prakash Vidya Niketan, Annavaram commemorated the 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The entire school was decorated with flowers and  hues of the tricolor. The event was graced by Dr. B. Srikanth, Medical officer, SVVSS hospital, Annavaram and Smt. B. Seetha Rani, Headmistress, Sri Prakash Vidyanikethan High School, Tuni as chief guest and guest of honour respectively. The program commenced with flag hoisting by the chief guest and followed by the national anthem. In his address to students, staff and parents, the chief guest spoke about harmful effects of plastic usage and advised  not to use. The guest of honour gave an excellent idea of using sign boards for correcting people instead of giving instructions. The  choir team sang the patriotic song with melodious voices  that aroused feeling of patriotism among all. After motivational speech, zestful cultural dances were performed by the students of class 5 &6. “Best English Speaker’ awards are honoured on this auspicious occasion. The programme culminated with the distribution of fruits among the students.

Students of class 6th and 7th visited   Annavaram Grama Sachivalayam  to know the various  functions and services available.
The Sarpanch of Annavarm Grama Sachivalayam, sri  Settibattula Kumar Raja welcomed the students  and explained all the details of   local governance and its functions. He also elevated the process of Local Government elections like electing Sarpanch, Vice Sarpanch, ward members.  The secretary of the office deatailed the services provided for the villagers like issuing required certificates , House taxes, sanitation, water supply, public health... etc.He also stressed on the volunteer system and the duties of Village Volunteers. The other officials in the office clarified the doubts of the children.  The Head master of Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan expressed his gratitude towards the Panchayati Administration for allowing children to study about the Local Governance.

“Rakhi is a thread that binds two souls in a bond of joy forever.” The major objective behind celebrating ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is making the children aware about the virtual bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. To help our children learn about the culture of India, various events were organized in the school. The students of Sri Prakash Vidya Nikethan, Annavaram celebrated Raksha Bandhan with full zeal and endeavour that one associates with this auspicious festival. The students in traditional attires enthusiastically participated in tying Rakhi on the wrist of their brothers. Their innocent smiles brightened the ambience and lifted the sprit.
