RIMZHIM 2011 dazzles at Sri Prakash

The Seventh Edition of RimZhim came to grand end on 12th November at Sri Prakash Vidya Soudham.. Sri Tafseer Iqbal, A.S.P. Narsipatnam, Miss Pratyusha the 14 year old Class X student of Sri Prakash, who recently became a National Chess Team Member shared the stage along with six child guests of Class X – Ajay Sri Vatsav (CBSE), Ch.Jnaneswari, P.Chinnarao, Hatel Patel, Vineet Kumar, ASR Monalisa.

The Chief Guest in his address to the students advised them to participate such competitive activities in more than 2 events for the occasion of RimZhim. The special Child Guest Pratyusha felt grateful to Sri Prakash for making her a competent player. She opined that if we went to succeed in life, we have to take it one step at a time. Pratyusha and her parents were felicitated by the Chief Guest.

Later, there was a thought-provoking Panel Discussion on complete education of values like courage, truth, compassion and spiritual thinking, which was moderated by the Principal Sri MVVS Murthy who exhorted students to shed fear and inhibitions to surge ahead in their careers.

Earlier there were 4382 entries in 29 events like sports, literary events, fine arts and dramatics. The Chief Guest gave away prizes to the winners which was followed by the rolling shield award to the best house for their excellence in co-curricular activities.

All the judges had a hectic time judging the best presentations in every event. Sri Ch.Vijay Prakash, Joint Secretary, SPES honoured them with mementoes. The cultural events that ensued regaled the audience. Sri Prakash exhorted the students to be practiced in their approach and word hard right from the word go instead of waiting till the last minute. He opined that winners always lead time; they never follow it to lag behind.

Convener Sri V.Ravi Kumar and Head Mistress Smt. T.Leela Ratna Kumari also participated in the closing ceremony.

SPACES DEGREE COLLEGE HOSTS CHEMISYMPOSIUM 2011


SPACES Degree College, Payakaraopeta in Visakhapatnam District conducted the third edition of   CHEMISYMPOSIUM, a one-day National level Seminar on ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES and OPPORTUNITIES IN PHARMA SECTOR on 23rd Oct, Sunday. As many as 450 student delegates from various degree colleges around in the four districts of Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and West Godavari are participated in it.

The Guest Speakers on the occasion of the Inauguration are Professor K. Laxma Reddy, Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Warangal and Dr M Damodharan, General Manager, Quality All API Sites, Ranbaxy Labs Ltd.

Prof Laxma Reddy came up with a lively presentation on Chemistry of life and Future and he hailed the 2011 year being declared as the International Year of Chemistry in honour of Madam Curie.

Dr Damodharan presented his views on eco-friendly research in pharma industry and such opportunities for aspiring students. Later the Guest Speakers followed it up with question sessions in which the student participants can have very highly useful interactive clarifications from the eminent subject authorities, which can certainly help them plan for choosing the right career.

The ensuing sessions had a lot for the student delegates in Poster presentations and a Quiz competition. It must have been an enduring test of wits for all the participants who had have to come up with novel ideas of resourceful ease. The Guest Speakers themselves judged the best presentations and the winners were awarded cash prizes Rs 2500/- and 1500/- in the competitions for 1st and 2nd prizes respectively.

Secretary and Correspondent Sri Ch.V.K.Narasimharao, and Joint Secretary Sri Vijay Prakash clarified that this National level endeavour would positively realize the creative efforts of the student delegates and stress the need for such subject Seminars to improve competencies and employability of the aspiring students in professional fields.

STATE LEVEL EVENT OF NCSC CONCLUDES AT SRI PRAKASH, PAYAKARAO PETA, VIZAG DISTRICT
No. 19th NCSC/ State Level Event/ 2011 dt. 5-11-2011

The State Level Event of 19th National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) organised by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Science & Technology, Hyderabad concluded today here at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Payakaraopet, Visakhapatnam district with greater jubilation among the budding Child Scientists, Guide Teachers and Organisers.

172 Child Scientists have presented their projects before the jury members on 4th & 5th November 2011.  28 Projects are selected for participation at the National Level Event to be held at Jaipur, Rajasthan State during 27-31 December 2011. ( 30 projects list enclosed).  The Chief Guest presented the certificates to the Child Scientists.

Sri Chukka Ramaiah, Member of Legislative Council, A.P. Legislative Council, Govt. of A.P. participating as the Chief Guest said that sincerity, devotion to work and thirst for new knowledge are the three most important aspects in everybody life and these will only determine the growth and prosperity in life.  Students are the builders of future India and with their continuous persuasion towards knowledge and research, India will advance in all spheres and become a superior nation in the world, he hoped. The State Government has taken an initiative, in the form of NCSC, for developing the innate skills and talents of the students for depicting their scientific temper and outlook. Students should be exposed to Critical Learning and Creative Learning to enable them to proceed further in their pursuits of research.  Students would be confident about their subjects when they do the practicals relating to the concepts.

Sri Chukka Ramaiah presented the certificates to the selected Child Scientists and wished them best of luck in the National Level Event.

  • Sri M.R. Prasanna Kumar, Regional Joint Director of School Education, Kakinada participating as the Guest of Honour, suggested the students to emulate great scientists and leaders and shape their careers to receive accolades from the highest bodies in the World.
  • Presiding over the valedictory function Dr. P.V.Subba Rao, Member Secretary, APCOST informed that the participation from the districts was overwhelming and advised the students, guide teachers and District Coordinators to continue the same tempo to benefit the society.
  • Sri Vijay Prakash, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Payakaraopet expressed his happiness about hosting the State Level Event and thanked APCOST for choosing their Institution for this.
  • Sri A.Sai Babu, District Educational Officer, Sri B. Lingeswara Reddy, Deputy Educational Officer, Sri A.S. Naidu District C0- coordinator NCSC, APCOST officials, Child Scientists, Guide Teachers and Students, Teachers of Sri Prakash participated.
